This blog is inspired by the Great Blue Heron, a majestic bird often seen gracefully flying over or standing serenely in our Hampton Roads wetlands. The Great Blue Heron patiently stalks its prey. When it spots a fish worthy of its interest, it strikes with amazing swiftness and accuracy. These are traits the author shares. In observing local, state, and national politics, the Great Blue Heron will not comment on every ripple in the water, but will endeavor to skewer those lurking below the surface who so richly deserve it.
